The best periods for trekking in Bhutan are October- November and March- May for all high altitude treks going over 4,000m. Some short treks like the Druk Path, Bumthang, Gantey can be undertaken almost every season. In the Autumn, clear warm days prevail affording the mountain views. In spring mixed weather patterns prevail with clear spells followed by occasional thunder showers and light rain. Spring is the best because rhododendrons, magnolias and other plants are in bloom.
Dragon kingdom Trek(Paro-Thimphu)
This western country trek is usually possible from late February to June and from September to December, although snow sometimes closes the route in late autumn and early spring. This trails used as old punishment for Bhutanese soldiers was forced one-day march along this route from Thimphu to Paro

Day 01: Flight to Paro, Bhutan (L/D).
Flight into Bhutan in itself is an amazing experience. We will have the great views of the Himalayas on a clear weather day. As we enter Bhutanese sky, our Captain of Druk Airline will introduce us with the sacred Jumolhari and Jichu Drake mountains of Bhutan. At Paro airport immigration, we get our passport stamped with Bhutan visa; collect our baggage and walk through customs and meet our Guide and Driver outside the airport. Then, we are transferred to our hotel in Paro town.

Day 1. Paro-Thimphu (1hrs)
Arrive at Paro, take one hour drive to Capital. Enroute stop over the Nunnery at Wangsisina, check out for yourself how strong the 900yr old house still standing with the descendants of celestial Sonam peldon living at the house even today. Check in and visit the ‘Fortress of Glorious Religion’, now being used as the office of the king and the ministers. Also witness the ongoing flag removal ceremony at the fortress carried out by the monks and the policeman. National textile museum and National Institute of Traditional Medicine are few places to be visited on your interest.

Gangkar Puensum Expedition(duer)-7Days / 6Nights
This central east trekking routes are covered with heavy snow which fills the route leaving the trek close during winter. However, it’s considered open from March to April and from September to early November. The trek is the old expedition route to Gangar Puensum.
