DAY 1: (PARO 2280M/7296FT – THIMPHU)
Most of the flights to Bhutan are from Bangkok, Singapore, New Delhi and Kathmandu. In all these flights before boarding you must present the visa clearance which will be emailed to you in advance by us prior to your trip. Arrive at Paro Int. airport and after clearing all immigration and custom formalities you will actually get a entry stamp on your passport. Meet our representative outside the terminal and drive to Thimphu, the capital city that consists of about 80,000 residents. Check in and relax. Next, visit the massive Tashichhoedzong, the ‘glorious fortress of great religion’ built around 17th century. Visit National memorial stupa built in memory of the late third king.

DAY 2: ( THIMPHU 2300M/7360FT)
Begin your day by visiting Chokhortse Goenba, one of the most remotely located Bhuddhist schools outskirts of Thimphu city. One can always return back the same way or descend downhill via different route down to Blue-Stone Dzong. The weaving center at Chanzamtok offers you a glimpse of most sophisticated Bhutanese textile with a great sense of touch and patterns & designs. Walk around colorful weekend’s market, one of the biggest domestic markets in the country. The 164ft tall statue of Buddha Doderma at Kuensel Phodrang popularly known as the Buddha point have recently been built in order to maintain peace and prosperity in the world and for the wellbeing of the His majesty the K5, 15th century Changangkha Lhakang and the privately owned Zantopelri Lhakang at the lower-market. Jungzhi hand-made paper factory across the Wangchhu(river) preserves the age old tradition of producing high quality hand-made papers.

DAY 3: (THIMPHU – PUNAKHA 1250M/4000FT, 3-4 HOURS DRIVE)
Less than 45mins of drive from Thimphu we arrive at the Dochula pass (Altitude 3150m/10080ft), the most scenic pass covered by the 108 stupas and surrounded by fluttering prayer flags. Visit the Druk Wangyel lhakang at the top of the ridge. If lucky or during most cases on a clear sky visitors are treated with a stunning panoramic view of the Eastern Himalayas including the highest peak including Mt. Jumolhari (7300m/23360ft), Mt. Gangkhar Phuensum ( Alt. 77239m/23165ft). Leaving Dochula, another 20min drive, we arrive at the rhododendron park at Lam peri, commonly known as the royal botanical garden. Continue further drive down to the lowlands of Punakha and visit the incredibly located Punakha dzong, referred to as the ‘Palace of Great Happiness’ at the confluence of Mo chhu and Pho chhu. Kuruthang Goenba is one of the unique temples at Khuruthang which is privately owned by locals.

DAY 4( TO PHOBJIKHA VALLEY 2900M/9280FT, 2 HOURS DRIVE)
Begin your day by an easy 20mins walk to the temple of fertility, 15th century Chimi lhakang dedicated to the famous “Devine Mad-man”. Like all the other pilgrims newly married couple often visits the temple to receive the blessing for a happy and healthy marriage lives. We then drive further to remote valley of Phobjikha. It lies in Western part of Bhutan where the impact of modernization has not yet affected these distant villages and people living in the serene landscapes. One of the oldest, a 500 year old Gantey Goemba is the only nyingmapa Buddhist monastery in the west unlike the rest is found mostly only in the East: Gantey goemba shedra, a Buddhist college of studies. The farmers here share this peaceful valley as home to the endangered species of the ‘Black Necked Cranes’ that wander these wet-lands all the way from Tibetan plateau. Over three hundred cranes start to arrive as early as November (fall) and by the end of March they return back to Tibet.  Overnight at Phobjikha, Hotel dewachen, Gakiling or similar.

DAY 5: (TO PARO 2280M/7296FT, 5 HOURS)
Follow the nature trails around the roosting ground of the cranes. It also offers interaction with the locals get invited at their homes for a cup of hot ‘Suja’ while experiencing a true Bhutanese livelihood. Retrace your way back to Paro. Stroll around the town on your own for souvenirs and window shopping. Overnight at Paro Hotel drukchen, Tashi namgay resort or similar.

DAY 6(HIKE TO TIGER’S NEST, 4 HOURS HIKE)
Hike to the legendary Taktshang, located at the edge of the cliff believed to be the holiest place not just in Bhutan but all across the Himalayas. The hike follows through natural footpaths with proper steps and hand rails where required. Ponies are also available for ride uphill till the tea house but you must be on your feet hereafter. It’s about an hour hike to the tea house and less if you ride the ponies. You can either decide to continue hiking till the monastery or return from here. However, it takes another hour uphill through thick forest of pines, holly and Spanish moss all along the way. Once on the top (Alt. 3140m/10080ft) it gets unpleasantly cold so wearing fleece jackets or any other to keep you warm is advisable. You may not be able take any photographs inside the monastery so you must leave your cameras, cell phones and bag packs at the entrance gate. Our guide will help you find a locker room to keep your belongings.
Later visit the ruins of victorious Drugyal dzong stand still even to this hour of time honoring the ‘Drukpas’ who have lost lives on the verge of saving the country from Tibetan Mongol invasions as early as 17th century. The 8th century old Kychu lhakang is one of the most venerated lhakangs in the country, Dungtse Lhakang.
