Jambay Lhakang Drub(festival)-12Days / 11Nights

Day 1: Arrive at Paro Air-port. Re-group with guide and driver, drive for an hour to the capital. En-route stopover and walk five minutes down the bridge to see the 15th century handmade iron-chains. Drive one hour west, to the Capital city. Evening witness the flag removal ceremony at Trashi-chhoedzong.
Overnight at Jumolhari, peaceful Resort

Day 2: Folk Heritage museum, 13 arts and craft school, Textile museum and National Handicraft Emporium. After lunch visit 55m-tall statue of Buddha Doderma, National Memorial stupa, Changankha Lhakang, Takin preservation centre and Zilukha nunnery.
Overnight at Peaceful Resort, Hotel Riverview

Day 3: Thimphu – Phobjikha (2hrs30min), Visit Gantey goemba, Crane information centre.
Overnight at Dewachen

Day 4: Phobjikha – Bumthang (6-7hrs) The first evening’s program begins around 7pm, with “Jinsi’ the burning of the sacred fire and “Mewang” the fire blessing.

Day 5: Bumthang- Full-day festival

Day 6: Bumthang sightseeing, Jakar dzong, Jambay lhakang, Kurjey Lhakang, Mebar tsho, Wangdicholing palace, Chamkhar lhakang. Stroll around the town

Day 7: Bumthang – Trongsa (2hrs30min) Upon arrival check in refresh and visit the biggest fort of Trongsa Dzong and ta-dzong, the watch-tower.
Overnight at Yangkhil Resort

Day 8: Trongsa – Punakha (4-5hrs) Happiness fortress.
Overnight at Punatshangchhu cottages

Day 9: Punakha – Paro (4hrs) Punakha dzong in the morning and drive to Paro in the afternoon. En-route visit the ‘Institute of Religious and Cultural studies’
Overnight at Khangku Resort.

Day 10: Paro – National museum, Ringpung dzong, Dungtse Lhakang, the ruins of Drugyal dzong and kyichu Lhakang

Day 11: Paro – Taktshang
